Here we are, another week into the future. Who knew time travel would be so time consuming?

When I first thought to have weekly updates, I figured I would keep all you happy readers abreast of my latest and greatest projects. As it turns out, I’m slow and boring. Fortunately I know where to find amusing videos. More on that later.

I do have a few projects going. One of which is my computer-chair-to-exercycle conversion. That has actually worked out fairly well. In fact, I’m pedaling right now as I type this. I hope that this chair of mine will eventually become the Nerd-Pod, the ultimate computer work system. With the cycling aspect finished, I plan to add nap chair capabilities soon. I’m might post some project details if people are interested. If you are, leave a comment. I’ve got the comment system linked to my CrackBerry, so I do indeed read every comment.

Then there’s my ongoing effort to learn Haskell. You’ll probably notice I have a post or two on the subject. I intend to post a lot more on the subject, as soon as I figure out what the hell I’m doing. Right now, it just makes me all confused and insecure. It’s not that I can’t get anything written in it, I’ve even got a decent blackboard system(AI thing) coded in it, it’s just that the code is so different from what I’m used to that I find it hard to say anything meaningful about it. I’ve tried to tell some people here in real life about it, and I always end up speaking a functional dialect of gibberish. “This thing is so cool! I’ve got functions, but they’re variables! Well, not really variables cause they don’t vary, but they aren’t supposed to! That’s the thing! And I put them together and a new one pops out ! And… yeah. This is so awesome.”
So as soon as I figure out how to describe the utter joy of Haskell in a coherent way, you’ll be the first to know.

I had a furby once. I skinned it, hung it’s pelt on my wall, and poked at its circuits with a screwdriver until it screamed. But this is good, too. The timing perfect. (Make sure your speakers are on!)

I approve of the following use of robots. (Seriously, how did they get to do that? Are they hiring for whatever it is that they do? Can I join?)
